Are you planning to produce different NPK formulas from Urea, MAP, DAP, potash, and trace elements? A customized NPK fertilizer production line helps you choose the right process, whether you need BB blending, double roller dry granulation, or rotary drum wet granulation. With proper batching, mixing, granulation, drying, screening, coating, packaging, dust control, and automation, you can produce stable, marketable NPK fertilizer efficiently.
What Raw Materials Can Your NPK Fertilizer Production Line Process?
A customized NPK fertilizer production line can process a wide range of raw materials used in compound fertilizer manufacturing.
Common nitrogen materials include urea, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, and other nitrogen-based powders or granules. Although these materials all supply nitrogen, their physical properties differ. For example, some absorb moisture easily, while others require crushing before batching and mixing. Therefore, selecting the right pretreatment equipment helps maintain stable production.
MAP and DAP are the most common phosphorus sources in NPK fertilizer production. Depending on your fertilizer formula, you can also add phosphate powder or other phosphorus-containing materials. For potassium, manufacturers usually choose either potassium chloride or potassium sulfate. Potassium chloride works well for most field crops. In contrast, potassium sulfate is better suited for chlorine-sensitive crops such as vegetables, fruits, tobacco, and many cash crops.
Besides N, P, and K materials, you can also incorporate limestone powder, dolomite powder, magnesium, zinc, boron, sulfur-containing materials, and other trace elements. These additives help adjust nutrient content, improve fertilizer performance, and satisfy the requirements of different crops and soil conditions.
Which NPK Fertilizer Production Process Should You Choose?
Your production process determines the equipment configuration, investment, and finished fertilizer quality. Therefore, choosing the right technology is one of the first decisions when planning an NPK fertilizer plant.
BB Fertilizer Blending Process
A BB fertilizer line includes raw material silos, an automatic batching system, a BB mixer, conveyors, and an automatic packaging machine. Since the process mixes finished fertilizer granules directly, it does not require granulation, drying, or cooling equipment. Choose this solution if you want lower investment, faster installation, and flexible formula switching.
Double Roller Dry Granulation Process
A double roller granulator compresses mixed powder under high pressure before sending the granules to crushing, screening, and packaging. Because the process uses no water or steam, it normally eliminates the need for dryers and coolers. As a result, it consumes less energy and requires a simpler plant layout. This process suits compressible NPK formulas, ammonium sulfate fertilizers, potassium-based fertilizers, and many mineral materials. If you want to reduce fuel consumption while producing compound fertilizer granules, dry granulation is an excellent choice.
Rotary Drum Wet Granulation Process
A rotary drum granulator combines powdered materials with water, steam, or binder. Continuous rolling gradually forms round fertilizer granules with excellent strength and appearance. Afterwards, the production line dries, cools, screens, coats, and packages the finished product. Choose this process if you plan to build a medium or large NPK fertilizer plant. It produces uniform granules that perform well in retail, wholesale, and export markets. For example, one of our Bulgarian customers planned to build a 50,000 TPY NPK fertilizer plant. After evaluating the raw materials and production targets, our engineers designed a customized rotary drum granulation line that met both production and market requirements.
What Equipment Is Included in an NPK Fertilizer Production Line?
A complete NPK fertilizer production line normally consists of five production sections.
How Can the Line Support CE and Environmental Requirements?
We can help you build a modern NPK fertilizer production plants satisfy both production efficiency and environmental regulations.
Dust Collection
Install dust collectors at the batching, mixing, granulation, screening, and packaging sections. In addition, enclosed conveyors and sealed transfer points help minimize dust leakage throughout the workshop.Exhaust Gas Treatment
Wet granulation lines require exhaust treatment after drying. Depending on your raw materials and local regulations, you can choose cyclone dust collectors, bag filters, or other exhaust treatment systems to control emissions effectively.Equipment Safety
We equip every production line with safety guards, emergency stop devices, electrical protection, operation manuals, and technical documentation within the agreed supply scope. These features help operators maintain safe and reliable production.Build an NPK Fertilizer Production Line with YUSHUNXIN
